Unfortunately, the token plummeted from 60 cents to 3 cents that year, so I kind of lost interest in it.
Currently there is only 0.1 per search query. It takes a long time to get the 1000 to pay out.
In the middle of 2021, I got the information that you can run your own node with 1000 PRE. Since I still had the 1000 PRE, I put it into practice. Also because I wanted to at least try setting up a node again. I had switched off my Waves node two months before.
This node is still running reliably today. The updates are also simply installed without me having to do anything. I only update my virtual Linux server from time to time.
Actually, my idea was to pay out the earned tokens and invest them in other cryptos. The idea is not new.
Payouts of PRE are only possible with 1000, so I had to earn at least 1000 additional tokens as rewards.
But Presearch throws a spanner in the works.

Well, I thought, I'll just collect another 1000 tokens and then I'll pay out. In fact, the rewardening went pretty quickly.
But when I was close to 2000, there was another change.
Now it's 4000 tokens. I don't think I'll ever get to pay out.
I am now at 2160 PRE and it took me about 14 months to collect 1180 tokens. Currently I get about 3 per day.
Well, there it is again my question. Does it really make sense to keep such a node running?

Dieser Knoten läuft bis heute zuverlässig. Auch die Updates werden ohne mein zutun, einfach eingespielt. Nur bei meinen Virtuellen Linux Server mache ich ab und zu ein Update.
Eigentlich war ja meine Idee, die verdienten Token auszuzahlen und in andere Cryptos zu investieren. Die Idee ist ja nicht neu.
Auszahlung von PRE sind erst mit 1000 Möglich, also musste ich mindestens 1000 zusätliche Token als Rewards verdienen.
Da macht einem aber Presearch einen kleinen Strich durch die Rechnung.
Anfangs brauchte man ja 1000 PRE für das Node.
Nach einem halben Jahr ist das geändert worden auf 2000 PRE für neue Nodes.
Die alten behielten einen Grandfather Status und durften weiterlaufen. So also auch meiner. Auszahlen geht allerdings auch erst ab 1000 Token, womit ich dann schon auf 3000 PRE kommen musste.
Na gut dachte ich mir, dann sammle ich halt nochmal 1000 Token und dann zahle ich aus. Tatsächlich ging das Rewarden ziemlich schnell.
Als ich dann aber kurz vor den 2000 war, gab es wieder ein Änderung.
Jetzt sind es 4000 Token. Ich glaube ich werde nie zum Auszahlen kommen.
Ich bin jetzt bei 2160 PRE und habe ca. 14 Monate gebraucht um 1180 Token zu sammeln. Aktuell komme ich pro Tag auf ungefähr 3.
Tja, da ist sie wieder meine Frage. Macht es wirklich Sinn so ein Node am Laufen zu halten?
Ne, nicht wirklich. Aber es macht Spaß jeden Tag die Token zu claimen. Stromkosten darf ich da nicht gegen rechnen.
