Oh! What a marvelous day today is again, it is the Lords doing. We are alive and here in the #wearealive tribe saying happy new day to you all fellow hivers. Hope this day is favoring you.
Fifth Marriage Anniversary
It is yet another 365 days and it looks like as if it was yesterday when we mark the fourth anniversary. Yes, it is awesomely awesome how time flies leaving us with surprises of what to say than say: "thank you dear God" for keeping the entire family alive to experience yet another milestone in the sojourn of our marriagehood.
Just last week, I was reminded by my wife that next week is our anniversary, are we not going to celebrate it? All I could reply was, "whao! Lets see how it will go". While alone, I kept reflecting on what the journey was like, the joy, pains, sleepless night, sicknesses, cares, schooling expenses and stress, bill payments and a whole lot of marriage commitments. I began to ask myself, "how has all these been possible"? And the answer is "Only God". For sure, he instituted the marriage arrangement, and has always been there to see us through.
The Day's Preparation
As we woke up in the early hour of the day, my wife asked, what next for today? As a man, I was considering some factors, partly looking at my pocket size. Then I told her, as soon as I get to the office I will send you some money in your account, get what you feel like, and I will get the rest. I got prepared and set for office.
At the office, after some routine activities, I organise some bottles of drinks for those that will not be able to come to the house. Then left for the mall to get some whisky. Back home the table was already set with some local delicacy. I was greeted by the aroma of Afang soup and some garnish meat to go with, couple with some light chops.
Gangan! The bottles are here! Some of my wife's friends were already present and getting set. A couple of minutes later a handful of friends came knocking. And before I knew what next, we were already in the mood of the cerebration. We eat, drank, gist about the journey and fond memories, renew our commitment, dance, infact, I forgot taking snapshot as I was attending to visitors, but manage to get some from a friend. Please bear with me.
If you ask me how possible was all these, I will only say, God in his infinite mercies has done it beyond our expectations. Therefore, looking back at it all, I will say, join me in saying "thank you God" for a sinner like me to make it this far.
