Hello Alive Tribe!
Today is Saturday and after attending church last night for the 1950s-themed Sweetheart Banquet at church during a migraine, I'm exhausted.
We enjoyed attending the event and enjoyed seeing all the awesome costumes couples wore and eating the delicious food that was catered.
The organizers planned couples' games and there were a lot of laughs as couples tried to guess questions such as what year the Hoover vacuum cleaner first sold.
Another game consisted of one partner of a couple wearing a set of sound-canceling headphones and the other spouse reading a sentence from a card to them. The partner wearing the headphones was required to repeat back the sentence that they thought was read. This game caused a lot of laughter.
After dinner, couples' games, and a short Bible message about how marriage and love as God intended should emulate the love that Christ the Church, we posed for photographs in front of two 1950s' themed backgrounds.
I went to the event battling a migraine I'd treated all day with over-the-counter and prescription medications. As the night progressed I grew wearier and wearier and couldn't wait to go to bed. We made it home at 10:30 pm and I went right to bed.
Today I managed to get up at 9:30. I did three loads of laundry, but folded none of them. Once I had finished washing the last load of wash I lost every bit of energy I had on reserve.
This week I've read some great posts in the Alice Community. Let's take a look.
