I have been exploring more in the dCity menus and found "Technologies".
There are six branches of the "Technology Tree":
- Control
- Education
- Automation
- Utility
- Economy
- Health
All of which will provide a Population Bonus once you own the NFT and complete research by unlocking each step within each of the six branches.
I noticed I already own the first NFT of the "Technology Tree" Education branch.
The cost to unlock this first step is 30 SIM. I will be unlocking it today. The % reflected as the population bonus did not change. I should have know there was a few other requirements in addition to just unlocking the item within the Technology Tree branch.
So I started reading the info buttons to determine what other steps are required.
Discovery Chance - To be able to discover technology players needs to unlock it firt in Technology Tree. (I have unlocked the first step in the Education branch). The probability for discovery is calculated from education: 80 education - 1% chance with a max cap of 25%.
Well here is the first piece of the puzzle that I need to work on. I need to have 80 education to have a 1% chance but my "Current education" is "0". I need to add 80 more education before the unlocked branch items will start providing a chance at anything.
The second item I noticed that I need is a Research center. Since I do not own a Research Center NFT, it is reflecting "Not Found". To discover technology player need to have Research Center Card.
The good news is that I have unlocked one of the first items in the Technology Tree Education Branch. I have also learned to do more research before just taking action. I know have several new tasks that I need to perform so that I can continue to grow my dCity.
- Increase my Education to 80+
- Purchase Research Center Card
But first I will need to save more funds to be able to take those next steps.
