So, today is 1st December 2021 and it is once again Hive Power Up Day 😊
I had it all planned out this month. Enough HBD to cover my own Hive Power Up Day as well as enough to Power up somebody else. I mean, I had in excess of $30 HBD; that was more than enough, right?
WRONG! And just how wrong could I be. Who was to know that Hive would surge so much these past couple of weeks?
In my monthly contest: Paying it Forward (PIF) ed 4, I had decided to include a December Power Up for one lucky winner as part of the 1st prize package. At the time of the contest, this element of the prize was worth about $10. Today it cost me $25! 😜😂... but I'm not complaining as we should not look at the value of Hive but at Hive as a token.
Count the tokens when you are holding, not the variable value.
So the $30 odd that I had in HBD didn't stretch very far today and I had to transfer my leftover swap.hive back and sell some 1UP from a recent buying transaction to get my liquid Hive back to sufficient value so that I could first power up @doziekash and secondly power up myself with 10 Hive each 🤩
I honestly thought I wasn't going to end up with enough and was for just a brief moment in time...praying that Hive would just stop increasing in value for just a few minutes more 🤣.
It made me feel good to be able to do this for @doziekash and I know it was appreciated especially with Hive's new escalating value and filling the sacks of another brings joy.
I am looking forward to both of us getting our little bee this month, and it will be my second in a row, so now November bee has a friend 😜.
In a few days' time, I would have been on the blockchain for 6 months and I have enjoyed almost every minute of it. I've been curating a fair bit this past week but have a number of articles that I need to write over the next few days for publication.
Feeling ALIVE with creativity and raring to get going.
Let's go take December on, everyone.
