What to do when rain is imminent?

The weekend day beside the lake in Chicago was all planned out and everyone was looking forward to a day of festivities.

And then the downpour began and calling an Uber seemed the most sensible thing to do! What indoor activity could keep everyone entertained until the rain stopped?

How about a visit to It's Sugar on Michigan Ave!

A colorful city built out of Jelly Bellies was much cheerier than the one outside!

And the rain quit in time for a little downtown sight seeing before it was time to go home.

Thanks! Although Lake Michigan is huge, it is fresh water, and not a sea.
Chicago got its nickname when a newspaper writer called city politicians 'windbags' and said they were “full of hot air.” Not because it is windy there. It is not even in the top 10 rating of windy cities. 😏

An excellent reportage👍 Very interesting photos. I especially liked the photos on the water with fog. Ha, interesting, it turns out that firefighters have a fireboat, I didn’t even know that such exist, it’s interesting.
I was a firefighter, we also had something interesting, it was a fire tank with ladder!😄

Rain does make one rethink of what to do next and that sugar place with sweeties looks like it was a great choice. Glad it stopped and you could go for some downtown sightseeing later.
