The World Cup is two games away from closing. We, however, begin our Season 12. Weekend One, also serving as the Qualifiers, will be played over this coming Friday and Saturday (Dec 16-17).
Participation
20 slots are taken by players who did well in the last season and/or are @macfit regulars and/or received a Wild Card from the sponsors.
6 slots are left for winners of qualifiers.

Players listed above - you start Season 12 this Friday and Saturday. Make sure your @actifit reports are posted. You DO NOT HAVE to do anything - I will collect your step counts, I will collect your scores. Should you, however, you feel like helping me, please post your scores as comments to this post. If you do so, your scores will rounded up to the nearest integer divisible by 3.
Now, players listed below, please read carefully. On top of being active and posting your @actifit report cards, you also MUST comment this post with your results (one comment with both days). Since you are the challengers, no rounding up of scores for you.
Weekend One / Qualification
Friday AND Saturday, Dec 16-17
Weekend One will be combined with qualifiers. Here's how:
- candidates listed below (and anyone who wants to join), must post their @actifit step counts for the two days as a comment to this post
- 6 players with the highest total, will be the winners - they will join the pre-qualified players.
After the 6 winners are known, the following will happen:
- out of all 26 players (20 pre-qualified and 6 from qualifiers), 8 players with the lowest score will be eliminated
- the 8 eliminated players will be considered participants - they will get their share in the awards pool and will get points for @macfit ranking
Remaining 18 players will take part in Weekend Two.

Weekend 3: Fri-Mon, Dec 30-Jan 2 (New Year)
Weekend 4: Fri-Mon, Jan 6-9 (Holidays in some regions)
Final Four: Fri-Sat, Jan 13-14
Note: Weekend One and Final Four are played over 2 days (Fri and Sat), whereas Weekends 2-4 are played over 4 days (Fri thru Mon).
