Hello and welcome to the "Cycling around Israel". I enjoy exploring my country by photowalking and photocycling¹
On my recent cycling trip I explored the town of Ramat HaSharon. If you want to know more about the town visit Wikipedia.
While cycling through the town I came upon the largest park in the area by the name of "Park Ramat Hasharon".
The park is full of lush greenery and I enjoyed cycling around on a dedicated cycling path. The park has a lot of walking and cycling paths surrounded by bushes, lush grass lawns and trees. It features a cafe, children's playgrounds, a stage for open air productions and a big ecological pond.
I found the pond to be very beautiful and interesting to explore. If you want to know more about ecological ponds visit WHAT IS AN ECOSYSTEM POND?. The pond is composed of a community of living organisms that interact with each other in a beneficial way and create a stable and sustainable system.
On my travels I encountered a number of such ponds. This pond, however, is unique. Only here I saw a lot of goldfish living and #thriving. The pond waters are so clear that it is possible to see in a great detail all the fish living inside. Some goldfish I saw, reached 60cm in length or more. This is the first time I encountered goldfish of that size in an ecological pond.
The ecological pool is so big it is clearly visible on satellite photos.
