Good Morning!
ππΎ I AM ALIVE! ππΎ
Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day here in the states. It's an American holiday where people celebrate the legacy of one of the great civil rights leaders here who gave his life fighting for freedom, justice, and equality for all.
He and his supporters showed that love, non-violence, and civil disobedience could be used as tools to fight an unjust power structure...
One of the things he was famous for was protesting by way of marching the streets to bring awareness to the peoples cause. Today many will celebrate at MLK Day parades in honor of Martin Luther Kings Jr's legacy and his fight for equality for all people here in America!
In observation of MLK day, we got the day off at my job. I'm kicking it off with HUGE and amazing coffee from Dunkin!
I'm a iced coffee guy all the way... π§βοΈ
They say America runs on Dunkin' and if it weren't so expensive for a cup of coffee, I would too cause this is freaking delicious!ππππ
But all jokes aside, in a time where war and chaos are the norm for our dealings with each other, it's important that we take time to look back at people who fought for what they believed using other strategies.
Not all wars can be won with blades, bullets, and bombs...
