Good evening all. The week have just started with the usual beehive of activities lined up. I started my week full of energy after a weekend well spent and while I was returning from work I stopped by to get some fruits which I intend to use and prepare some fruit salad. The chief among them is papaya.
Papaya or pawpaw as it is fondly called over here is a sweet, soft but fleshy fruit that can be eaten in a variety of ways. For instance, it can be added to salad (which is what I intend to use mine for), smoothies, and to other dishes. It can also be eaten on its own without addition to any other thing.
Rich in nutrients and vitamins, the health benefits of pawpaw are bound. For instance, pawpaw or papaya is said to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart diseases, high blood pressure and even stroke. Above all, it boosts immunity and aids food digestion. The leaves and seeds which are mostly black also have some medicinal value.
