The U.S. Transportation Security Agency announced that as of this Friday, passengers who refuse to wear a facemask in airports or airplanes will have to pay a fine ranging from $500 to $1,000 initially and up to $3,000 for repeat offenders.
The measure was announced after U.S. President Joe Biden ordered on Thursday the mandatory vaccination against covid-19 of all federal government employees, and launched a plan to force most of the workers of the country's private companies to do so as well.
