Happy Friday to everyone in the community, a day with drizzle forecast and a maximum temperature of 29ºC.
October 2021 became the month with the most censorship in Venezuelan radio, seven programs went off the air for political reasons and one station was closed, according to the most recent Monitoring of Persecution and Criminalization in Venezuela report prepared by the Center for Justice and Peace (Cepaz).
"The pattern of censorship that is evident in Venezuela translates into the affectation of the rights of communication workers, who are victims of the violation of their human right of expression and dissemination of information, but also the population is closed to more windows where they can receive information and express their opinion, also becoming victims of this pattern of systematic violations to the freedoms of thought, expression and opinion", said Cepaz in the document.
Censorship should not exist, we have the right to be truthfully informed without the intervention of any governmental entity.
