So there we were cleaning the guinea pig cages last night while listening to the radio. The DJ posed a question and was reading comments about whether listeners believed in YOLO. Fast forward a bit I was finishing some online tasks when I think I snoozed a bit. I seemed to have awakened 'coz of an earthquake in the early am (around past 1am). The apartment building where we live is just a small building, so it wasn't really scary.
Y.O.L.O. = you only live once. Perhaps there are some who equate this term to reckless living -- living in the moment, not planning ahead, always up for adventures, etc. We gotta admit we do have but one life to live. However, if we live it well, I think it's enough.
These are crazy times. I personally have a hard time coming up with a long-term goal. These days I simply prefer to take things as they come. But there are times when I'm in the moment of looking ahead, so I jot things down.
I think of Mom a lot and how she lived her life. She was so full of life and enjoyed going out, esp with my aunt. She was even planning a trip to Indonesia to visit her half-brother who is based there. But... The lockdowns happened and all the restrictions may have dampened her spirits a bit. Sad. And I imagined we would still be with Mom if, and when, all these covid madness would be gone. I suppose that's also why I just take it one day at a time for now.....
I continue to hope....
For the meantime, it's back to the mundane and Monday nights mean fish fillet dinner...
Oohhh they're golden brown and look crispier than the ones I made last week. 😋😋 I'm learning... 😂🤣
Well, tomorrow is another day. I'll be back for my Chooseday thoughts. For now, I need sleep...
