Monday, it is the last Monday of this month, we are already ending November and there are about 33 days left until the end of the year... my mania for counting the days and things seems to be with me at all times (personal laughter), in the personal count of 990 days have passed since the start of the quarantine for the #COVID-19 #Pandemic was announced in #Venezuela. If the numbers were playing cards (9, 9 and Joker 0), I wonder if I could count this three card hand as having 'a pair' or 'a triple' or something else. I'm not a frequent gamer, but sometimes these number ideas cross my mind and leave me intrigued.

Lunes, es último lunes de este mes, ya estamos terminando noviembre y faltan unos 33 días para que termine el año… mi manía de contar los días y las cosas parece que me acompaña en todo momento (risa personal), en el conteo personal de días desde que en #Venezuela se anunció el inicio de la Cuarentena por la #Pandemia de #Covid19 han pasado 990 días. Si los números fueran cartas de juego (9, 9 y comodín 0), me pregunto si podría contar esta mano de tres cartas como tener ‘un par’ o ‘un triple’ u otra cosa. No soy un jugador frecuente, pero en ocasiones estas ideas de números pasan por mi cabeza y me dejan intrigado.
Estoy un poco atrasado con trabajo que tenía previsto sacar en este inicio de semana, pero ya espero poder emparejar las cosas y lograr hacer lo que tenía previsto. Por otra parte, al revisar las efemérides de la #Historia para escribir el registro de hoy, me encontré con una discrepancia que me llamó la atención y me llevó a elegir la efemérides que tenía esta situación, según varias publicaciones, hoy es el Día Mundial de las Personas sin Hogar… pero yo recuerdo que ese día internacional se conmemora el 10 de octubre de cada año… estamos en 28 de noviembre… supongo que notas el problema de discrepancia, así que me puse a revisar que era lo que sucedía.
Estoy un poco atrasado con trabajo que tenía previsto sacar en este inicio de semana, pero ya espero poder emparejar las cosas y lograr hacer lo que tenía previsto. Por otra parte, al revisar las efemérides de la #Historia para escribir el registro de hoy, me encontré con una discrepancia que me llamó la atención y me llevó a elegir la efemérides que tenía esta situación, según varias publicaciones, hoy es el Día Mundial de las Personas sin Hogar… pero yo recuerdo que ese día internacional se conmemora el 10 de octubre de cada año… estamos en 28 de noviembre… supongo que notas el problema de discrepancia, así que me puse a revisar que era lo que sucedía.

Aunque no logré tener una explicación del todo completa y oficial, por lo menos si encontré que ambas fechas están enfocadas en dar visibilidad a las personas sin hogar, o en situación de calle, o sin techo, pues hay distintas maneras de nombrar y clasificar a estas personas en distintas partes del mundo. Sin embargo, la fecha de hoy es más propia de España y de países de habla hispana, al menos según he podido revisar, mientras que el movimiento internacional que propuso el día en octubre está más presente en los países de habla anglosajona, por cierto, de este último día, puedes visitar el sitio oficial de la efemérides en http://www.worldhomelessday.org/
La situación de la gente que queda en indigencia, sin hogar o que queda en la calle por distintas circunstancias es algo que me mueve la fibra sensible. El problema es complejo, tiene un fuerte componente económico, pero también social y familiar, obviamente, también hay cuestiones culturales involucradas, pues hay culturas en las que la solidaridad de grupo es extendida y no se puede concebir ni la idea de que si vez a alguien en la calle no le ofrezcas un cobijo y algo de ayuda para que se levante por sí mismo.
La situación de la gente que queda en indigencia, sin hogar o que queda en la calle por distintas circunstancias es algo que me mueve la fibra sensible. El problema es complejo, tiene un fuerte componente económico, pero también social y familiar, obviamente, también hay cuestiones culturales involucradas, pues hay culturas en las que la solidaridad de grupo es extendida y no se puede concebir ni la idea de que si vez a alguien en la calle no le ofrezcas un cobijo y algo de ayuda para que se levante por sí mismo.

In my Western-rooted culture, solidarity is a value appreciated, but not fully practiced, and individuality can in some cases be a bit selfish, in the sense that "as long as I'm fine, I don't care what happens to pass with the other people". However, the issue of the ephemeris awakens a feeling of solidarity in me, I am not one of those who believe in charity for its own sake, I am more of a believer that if you provide people with living conditions so that they can work and generate their own resources than that will be the best social program, since one of the things that earning your own livelihood brings is a touch of dignity as a person, it is difficult to explain it in a few words, but living on charity or as a 'pet' makes me think in which we lose our dignified human condition, as beings capable of creating new things, beings capable of maintaining our lives, in short, that old phrase of my people that 'work ennobles' may have some sense.

En mi cultura de raíz occidental, la solidaridad es un valor apreciado, pero no del todo practicado, y la individualidad puede llegar en algunos casos a ser un poco egoísta, en el sentido de que ‘mientras yo esté bien, no me importa lo que pase con las demás personas’. Bien, no voy a llevar eso al extremo tiránico de que si alguien está haciendo las cosas bien y tiene prosperidad tiene la obligación de repartir su riqueza, ni llegaré a la hipocresía de señalar ‘ser rico es malo’, porque esa última frase me remite a la desagradable situación de que quienes lo dicen suelen ser gente que acumula riqueza (en ocasiones por vías de dudosa limpieza) y ni en sueños colabora para que la situación de gente desasistida o pobre mejore.
Si embargo el tema de la efemérides me despierta un sentimiento de solidaridad, no soy de los que creen en la caridad por sí misma, soy más creyente de que si le brindas a la gente las condiciones de vida para que puedan trabajar y generar sus propios recursos entonces ese será el mejor programa social, pues una de las cosas que aporta el ganarse su propio sustento es un toque de dignidad como persona, es difícil de explicarlo en pocas palabras, pero vivir de la caridad o como ‘mascota’ me hace pensar en que perdemos nuestra digna condición humana, como seres capaces de crear cosas nuevas, seres en capacidad de mantener nuestras vidas, en fin, que esa vieja frase de mi gente de que ‘el trabajo ennoblece’ puede tener algo de sentido.

The problem has also increased in the rest of the world in recent times, as I have read, the economic problems derived from the measures against the pandemic and now the complications due to the war in Ukraine, plus many other problems that are growing 'like mushrooms later of the rain', all this leaves me with a panorama in which many people are suffering an economic crisis, without a social, cultural, or family system that offers them support and enables them to overcome these problems in the short term.
I have a close relative who is in this situation in another country, she was taken there for work, but a rather absurd situation arose, and she was 'abandoned' with no possibility of return and was literally left on the street, she is living in shelters and surviving as best you can. There is little that I can help her from here, and when I read the news that another snow storm has arrived where she is or that the temperature has dropped again below zero, in all these cases anguish comes over me and I feel more helpless. This is why the subject is more sensitive to me.

En mi país, la ‘situación de calle’ de mucha gente se ha incrementado por los graves problemas económicos que hemos tenido este siglo, cosa que es paradójica o incluso absurda, pues tuvimos los mayores ingresos nacionales de nuestra historia, peri desaparecieron caso todos esos ingresos en unas tramas de malos manejos, torpeza y posible corrupción, que llegaron a unos grados que es casi imposible tener comparación en nuestra historia.
El problema también se ha incrementado en el resto del mundo en tiempos recientes, según he leído, los problemas económicos derivados de las medidas contra la pandemia y ahora las complicaciones por la guerra en Ucrania, más otros muchos problemas que están creciendo ‘como hongos luego de la lluvia’, todo esto me deja un panorama en que mucha gente está sufriendo crisis económica, sin un sistema social, ni cultural, ni familiar que les brinde apoyo y les posibilite superar estos problemas a corto plazo.
Tengo una familiar cercana que está en esta situación en otro país, ella fue llevada allí por trabajo, pero surgió una situación bastante absurda y fue ‘abandonada’ sin posibilidades de retorno y quedó literalmente en la calle, está viviendo en refugios de acogida y sobrevive como mejor puede. Es poco lo que puedo ayudarla desde acá, y cuando leo noticias de que a donde está llegó otra tormenta de nieve o que volvió a bajar la temperatura bajo cero, en todos esos casos me llega una angustia y noto más mi impotencia. Es por esto que el tema se me hace más sensible.
Creó que ya es hora de terminar el registro, me despido deseando que tú estés bien, abrigado en tu hogar o un ambiente que sea equivalente, y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
