Today my record of the day is much more intimate than on other occasions. On this day, 991 of my long count of days since the #Quarantine was announced in #Venezuela due to the #COVID-19 #pandemic, I will not do what is usual, to comment on the events of my calm days and accompany them with comments from the ephemeris of History, rather, I want to focus on a more personal matter and the theme of #pets, those 'little balls of hair and tenderness' that make our days much more pleasant with their madness, curiosities and company.
In this particular case, at home we currently have a #dog and a #kitten, with the #puppy the beginning was difficult, but we are getting along better now, and with the little #cat we get along well from the beginning, it is fortunate that the two pets they get along well and like to play with each other, seriously they have a lot of energy. The cat spends more time inside the house, and she is very close to us, in fact she has taken a habit that has led my brother to comment that we may be spoiling her a lot (personal laughter). She has taken to being a marsupial cat.

Hoy mi registro del día queda mucho más intimista que en otra ocasiones. En este día, 991 de mi largo conteo de días desde que en #Venezuela se anunció la #Cuarentena por la #pandemia de #Covid19, no haré lo que es usual, de comentar los eventos de mis calmados días y acompañarlos de comentarios de las efemérides de la Historia, más bien, me quiero enfocar en un asunto más personal y del tema de #mascotas, esas ‘pequeñas bolas de pelo y ternura’ que hacen mucho más agradables nuestros días con sus locuras, curiosidades y compañía.
En este caso particular, en casa tenemos actualmente una perrita y una #gatita, con la perrita el inicio estuvo difícil, pero ya nos estamos llevando mejor, y con la pequeña gata nos llevamos bien desde el inicio, es una suerte que las dos mascotas se llevan bien y les gusta jugar entre ellas, en serio que tienen mucha energía. La #gata se la pasa más dentro de la casa y es muy cercana con nosotros, de hecho ha tomado una costumbre que ha llevado a mi hermano a comentar que puede ser que la estemos malcriando mucho (risa personal). Le ha dado por ser una gata marsupial.

La #gata se la pasa más dentro de la casa y es muy cercana con nosotros, de hecho ha tomado una costumbre que ha llevado a mi hermano a comentar que puede ser que la estemos malcriando mucho (risa personal). Le ha dado por ser una gata marsupial.

I usually have a low temperature from being hypotensive and have a low (and somewhat weak) heart rate, so I very often wear coats or jackets.
Well the cat nestles inside my jacket often and stays to sleep, when I try to get up she whines vehemently and clings to my clothes with her claws, so I (doting dad) decided to grab the bottom edge of the jacket skirt of the jacket and hold it with the waistband of the pants and his belt, thus forming a bag in which Verónica (the cat) stays and goes with me everywhere without wanting to go out. She already got the hang of it, and now she complains if I don't carry her, and she falls asleep inner my clothes, that's why today I remembered something I read as a child about Confucius and his cat.

Okay. Ya puede que salte algún amigo que sepa de animales y me recuerde que si bien los felinos y los marsupiales con mamíferos, son dos cosas diferentes. Así que aclaro que no me refiero a la característica de que las hembras de la especie tengan una bolsa ventral en la que las crías completan su desarrollo exo-placentario inicial, sucede que la gata tomó la costumbre de subirse a mí cuando estoy trabajando y trata de acomodarse en mi ropa. Suelo tener temperatura baja por ser hipotenso y tener un bajo (y algo débil) ritmo cardíaco, así que es muy frecuente que use abrigos o chaquetas.
Bien, la gata se acomoda dentro de mi chaqueta con frecuencia y se queda a dormir, cuando trato de levantarme se queja vehementemente y se aferra a mi ropa con sus garras, así que yo (papá consentidor) me decidí por tomar el borde inferior del faldón de la chaqueta y sujetarlo con la pretina del pantalón y su cinturón, así se forma una bolsa en la que Verónica (la gata) se queda y va conmigo por todas partes sin querer salir. Ya agarró la maña y ahora se queja si no la cargo y se duerme dentro de mi ropa, por eso hoy recordé una cosa que leí de niño sobre Confucio y su gato.

I don't know if the anecdote is true, but I read as a child that the ancient Chinese philosopher had a deep affection for his pet cat, and that #pet used to get into his sleeping clothes, so in order not to wake up his cat when he had to get up and go somewhere else, he used to cut the piece of clothing his cat was on to let him sleep there. I didn't go to the extreme of sacrificing clothes, but I think I understand the philosopher.

No sé si la anécdota es real, pero leí de niño que el filósofo de la antigua China tenía un profundo cariño por su gato mascota, y esa mascota solía meterse en su ropa a dormir, así que para no despertar a su gato cuando tenía que levantarse e ir a otro lugar, solía cortar el trozo de ropa sobre el que estaba su gato para dejarle dormir allí. Yo no llegó al extremo de sacrificar la ropa, pero creo que entiendo al filósofo.
Además de que la gata es calentita y confortable para mí. Recuerdo que los gatos de la casa les gustaba dormir al sol o donde hubiera un poco de calor, en otras latitudes he visto que los gatos les gusta dormir cerca de los radiadores o emisores de calor, así que tomo que la actitud de Verónica es bastante normal para una gata.
Bien, eso sería todo para este peculiar registro de mi día, te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
