Today was Friday, the first Friday of December, the first of the five Fridays that we will have in this month to close the year. My day is blank if you make a list of things that happened of importance in personal aspects, it was a normal day, without complications or anything serious, so I must be grateful for that, for me, calm and quiet days are an appreciated gift. I admit that my way of living can be boring, but I like calm.
During the day we were a bit disconnected, due to a failure (apparently national) of a cell phone and Internet service provider, in my current case, it was a #Movistar failure. Yesterday there was a strong electrical failure, today a communication service failure, in truth, in #Venezuela there is not a day that something does not happen, at least I am not going to complain, one gets used to it, and is rather grateful when the services manage to work for several continuous hours without failing.

Hoy fue viernes, el primer viernes de diciembre, el primero de los cinco viernes que tendremos en este mes para cerrar el año. Mi día está en blanco si se hace una lista de cosas que ocurrieran de importancia en los aspectos personales, fue un día común, sin complicaciones ni nada grave, así que debo estar agradecido por eso, para mí, los días de calma y sosiego son un regalo apreciado. Admito que mi forma de vivir puede resultar aburrida, pero es que me gusta la calma.
Durante el día estábamos un poco desconectados, debido a una falla (aparentemente nacional) de un proveedor de servicios de telefonía celular e Internet, para mi caso actual, se trató de una falla de #Movistar. Ayer fue una falla eléctrica fuerte, hoy una falla de servicio de comunicaciones, en verdad que en #Venezuela no hay día que no pase alguna cosa, por lo menos no me voy a quejar, ya uno se acostumbra, y más bien agradece cuando los servicios logran funcionar algunas horas continuas sin fallar.

Ya es de noche, ahora es que la señal de Internet me está funcionando y me enteré del alcance de la falla por los comentarios publicados en las redes sociales, menos mal que por lo menos el servicio regresó hoy. Mientras revisaba las redes, busqué que efemérides de la #Historia estaba en el calendario hoy, y me encontré con una que si bien no me atañe en lo personal, la encuentro muy relevante: Hoy es el Día Internacional para la Abolición de la Esclavitud, una fecha declarada por la Organización de Naciones Unidas, #ONU, para visibilizar y buscar concienciar sobre la problemática de la #esclavitud como flagelo aún existente en muchas partes del mundo, y en varios casos bajo la imagen de ‘esclavitud moderna’
La fecha fue decretada en 1949, mucho tiempo ha pasado, pero aun este mal sigue presente en el mundo, en parte, sucede que es una forma de #explotación humana que está muy imbricada con la economía de varias partes del mundo, y su eliminación llevaría a un fuerte cambio económico y social, eso es algo que las clases dominantes nunca van a aceptar de buen grado, así que aquí seguimos, en pleno Siglo XXI, y todavía con sistemas económicos esclavistas, como si se tratara de unos 2000 o 3000 años en el pasado.

Supongo que, aparte de mi desagrado personal contra la esclavitud y la explotación laboral, la trata de personas, la prostitución forzada y todas esas cosas, el día de hoy me resultó resaltante también por las discusiones que han surgido a la sombra de la Copa Mundial de Fútbol de la #FIFA que se realiza en la actualidad en #Qatar, un país al que se le señala como un practicante de estas actividades contrarias al trabajo digno y a la contratación laboral en condiciones adecuadas, se indica que la explotación laboral de masas inmigrantes, provenientes de países pobres, fue muy marcada y las malas condiciones de seguridad laboral terminaron llevando (en decenas casos) a la muerte.
A pesar de esto, la ‘Fiesta del Fútbol’ continua sin problemas, como si nada de esto importará, en verdad que esta situación me hace pensar que estamos muy lejos de que esta fecha sea una cosa de vieja historia, temo que la esclavitud seguirá siendo un problema actual por mucho tiempo.
