Hello walkers and friends!
Again one more Wednesday, one more walk. Another #WednesdayWalk hosted by @tattoo-djay in which to share different and daily walks, paths and routes through inspiring and different environments. That is the idea, so we are going to do it, with desire, enthusiasm and with many photos of the place and many beautiful words to describe moments and sensations.
Today a peculiar route not too busy but somehow close. And also close to the sea, that Mediterranean that we love.
Very close to the city of Valencia, heading north along the coast, we cross the easternmost part of another small adjacent town, almost another neighborhood, Alboraya. A land to a large extent shared by the multitude of orchards, cultivated fields that still exist around such an urban environment. A contrast that is also unique as it has the channel of the Carraixet ravine that, when it carries water, flows into the sea so close and familiar.
An old unused road can become the best way, because currently the highway is on the left, and you can feel that rhythm of cars and trucks, although at the same time downhill it seems that we are protected, and in solitude we walk where we used to there was much more traffic. Now only some bikes, runners and sporadic walkers.
Silence and solitude encapsulated under the morning sun. Clouds that also walk, come and go, while we discover different places.
On the one hand we find a picnic area under palm trees very close to a small and old hermitage, l'Ermita del Miracle dels Peixets (which means the Hermitage of the Miracle of the Fishes, in reference to that biblical passage).
I don't know if the fish will multiply, but many sensations, seeing a beautiful panoramic view of fresh water that calmly reaches that lonely and almost "divine" mouth in the sea decorated with more and more palm trees. It is not a simple beach, but much more. A curious and unique print. We cannot ask for more.
But we can also go there, at the end of a promenade that must end there, and breathe that unique sea air. The sea just for us. Walking forward again until we decide to go back or turn or choose another path, such as a more natural one, towards the interior area, just a few meters away, we change scenery.
In the same place, another perspective, another environment, more rural although we still hear the waves of the sea, but here there are orchards. Horizontal fields of crops, toasted colors that provide a golden touch of different, striking color, although everything remains natural. The changing, colorful and special nature.
We continue exploring among more almost wild vegetation, there is no one around, as if lost in a strange world that we visit with amazement, we just want to discover more. And we pass over wide ditches covered with concrete, like a spontaneous path without knowing where they will take us, if there will be an exit, or if it doesn't matter, we will lose ourselves in that magical and unique environment between the fields and the sea.
