I range between different genres within my live modular sets (if you can even categorise what I do in any genres?).
This section is an ambient/chilled section where I'm building a slowly evolving soundscape.
As it's a bit slower you may be able to pick out in this video how some of the changes I'm making actually affect the music.
For example:
- several times editing the pitches allowed in the melody using the Metropolis module - the large silve module with red leds on the sliders in a fairly central position.
- editing the kick pattern on the sequencer (very bottom left) around 1:38
- bringing in the bass synth at 1:58 on the main mixer (central, slightly right)
- dialing in a little snare fill at 3:19
I keep meaning to set up a 3rd camera for some close ups for either an explanier video or maybe as part of a live set.
Watch me live soon with a Rising Star Special Edition:
I'll be live again Monday 24th January from 9pm UK time on Brixton Radio.
You can also watch on my Twitch or on VIMM - I'm tdctunes on both.
And what's more this coming Monday will be a speciak edition @risingstargame set!
I'll be loading the modular with samples from Rising Star and mixing and mangling them into the music.
And what's more @stickupboys will be there doing some giveaways in the chat too! If you are a Rising Star player and at all interested in electronic experimental music or even if you just want to hang out with some fun RS./Hive/Music lovers come and join!
