The present lays the footprints for the future to thread on, hence, your present is as important as your future plans are.
It's a great topic to take you a step further with whatever you have been doing because having personal plans is one thing but sharing those plans with someone else is a bigger thing..... It literally means you will do whatever it takes within your reach to get those plans done because if you take your words as your dignity, then, you know your dignity is at stake.
As a young guy still in his prime, it is very okay to say that I have great plans for myself and I am not just planning to leave them in the theatre of dreams but rather do my very best to bring them into reality.
So help me God 🙏
FINANCIAL ASPECTS OF MY LIFE
Concerns:
Growing up in a family which I will say is "just there financially' (we don't beg but then we don't have that excesses to spend without calculation), you will take a guess I would love to be independent financially as fast as possible.
I am a student and as you may know, student isn't a profession which gives you money but rather one that takes the little you have.
So your guess is as true as mine, it is really a big concern for me
Plans:
I finished my secondary education in 2017 and ever since then I have been exploring many opportunities that I come across provided it involves doing something legal.
My friends and I have worked with decoration companies, worked at building sites and many other areas as far as life could take us.
In 2020, we also heard of cryptocurrencies and went for it, we made gains and we also lost at the same time but it was one of those things we did for a financial breakthrough.
About last year also, I was introduced to hive by my elder brother.
I really saw the platform as a great one where I could also start from and before time could tell be financially independent.
The greatest plan of my independence financially is my getting admission.
The same year I finished my secondary school in 2017, I gained admission to study Medicine and Surgery in the University.
I not only take studying this course serious but I also give it my very best.
By the special grace of God, I will be graduating next year and will be starting a new life all over as a medical doctor.
Now unlike the student profession, medical doctor is one that can bring food in my table.
So generally, I will say my plans for my financial breakthrough although not yet actualised is on the right track.
RELATIONSHIPS ASPECT OF MY LIFE
Concerns:
I am someone who is very social with people but then it is only with my fellow guys, maybe because I stayed in boarding school all through my secondary school days with guys.
I have a very good relationship with almost all the guys in my class and beyond but then coming to the ladies is a different thing altogether.
Not that there is any problem we have with any of them but it's just not coming through for me.
Everytime I see one of them, I will rather say a quick, "Hi and Hello" greeting and run away rather than staying a minute longer for any discussion.
My concerns is that as nature plans, I will still get married and when that time comes, how do I tackle it?
Plans:
Ever since I knew it is a big concern especially when it will come for marriage, I just decided to be discussing with them better than I did.
I no longer do the "Hi and Hello" greetings and zoom off but rather I take it on a little further.
I also decided to be communicating with them online better because we all have our contacts anyway although most times, I forget replying them for months but then, it's an improvement for me doing what I haven't been doing before anyway.
I also engage more in various social activities nowadays because by going out, you get to meet more people anyway.
So in all, I will say it's still playing out well although way behind schedule but it's still going well.
ACADEMICS ASPECT OF MY LIFE
Concerns:
Just the way every student will genuinely be scared of passing his next exams, I also have the same concern when it comes to my academics.
Medicine and Surgery isn't a course that deals all with theory, you also have to be better in the practical aspect because practicals is what make someone a great doctor and not the theories you quote.
I have double fears which are passing my professional exams and also getting to be a good doctor.
For me to be the good doctor I aspire to be, I have to be going for my hospital postings everyday and thanks to the economic instability and inflation in Nigeria, the transport fare of $0.65 I spend going to the hospital for learning has skyrocketed to $1.96 making it a big task going to those hospital.
Medicine and Surgery as you must have heard is indeed a jealous course, this is because you can barely combine it with doing anything else effectively.
There is indeed much to read, to learn and to do in medicine and surgery, you can't even do them all before exams.
As a result of the increased transport fare, this puts a financial burden on me and I have to tackle them also most times Hiving and then invariably reducing the time I have for my academics.
These are my concerns
Plans:
Well, just like I told you that this is my greatest plan of tackling my financial situation, I really don't joke with it.
For my plans of becoming a good doctor, I still go for my hospital postings regardless of the financial burden it comes with because if I don't go, I won't learn and if I don't learn, I certainly won't be a good doctor.
I also reduce my time in hive so that I will be able to give most of those periods to my books in getting the theory aspect of my academics.....that is indeed the price to pay and I am willing to pay that.
I also go for as many medical conferences as my schedule will allow me. This helps me to hear from the already practicing doctors and guides me in making the right decision for myself.
So, I will also say my plans for my academics are going on smoothly.
No one knows what the future holds but we have to keep doing the best in the present we hold powers to change and be hopeful the future turns out well
This is in response to the number 4 question in this weekend engagement
Thanks for reading through, enjoy the rest of your weekend and remember not to leave your plans in the theatre of dreams alone.
Until next time👍
