Hey Actifitters,
With the sun finally back yesterday, and something planned in the evening, we didn't want to waste any time. So early afternoon, we were already out the door on a long walk with Kaia, starting behind the front yard as usual.
Then, on the way to the forest, we met some of the locals again.
Surprisingly, the first part of the trail near our favorite forest entrance seemed fairly dry considering all the rain the past few days.
But we quickly found the first flooded area. This one is often flooded. Actually around this time of the year, it's usually a much bigger and dipper pond, but not this year probably because of the lack of snow this winter.
Many of the trails after that were flooded too.
Kaia stayed close at first, but after some time she couldn't resist anymore, and disappeared into the forest going after the deer that were all around us.
I found her a few minutes later. Of course she was cooling down in one of the big puddles. Could have guessed it!
After we walked around all these wet trails, we actually found much drier ones deeper in the forest. Not sure the terrain is higher or something, but it's often like that.
But near the end, after our loop outside for Cubiverse vaults, it was flooded again. Not surprising in this area, it floods even with lighter rains.
I just had time to do a few small things at home before getting ready for the next activity: a play at the Fisher Theatre. I love this building!
The show was 'All things equal', kind of a monologue based on Ruth Bader Ginsburg's life, the infamous RBG! It was really good. Such a great woman! We really miss her in the Supreme Court. Now we're stuck with the corrupt Clarence Thomas, the rapist Kavanaugh, and the Christian taliban Amy Coney Barrett... Anyways, I digress. Like I said, the show was very cool and we had a good time.
And just like the Detroit Opera House, the inside of the Fisher Theatre is also beautiful.
Well it was a good day, with a pretty good step count as a bonus. Let's see how that goes in @macfit.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
