Hello all Hive music lovers.
Welcome to another threetunetuesday #threetunetuesday originally created by @ablaze. For this week I am going to share three cool jamz for the #ttt which I enjoy so much. They are basically a combination of rap, hip-hop and RnBs and a bit of naija which help us see the other side of life.
The song for review in today's #threetunetuesaday comes from the group called SYYL- PLUS. Styl-Plus whose original name was STYL is a Nigerian R&B and pop musical group / quartet. The founding members were Shifi Emoefe, Tunde Akinsanmi, Yemi Akinwonmi, and Lanre Faneyi. From the first names of these founding members, the group derived their name hence the acronym STYL.
However, in 1998 Lanre Faneyi died, and Zeal Onyecheme joined the group. This led to the tweaking of the group's named SYYL- PLUS, the "Plus" denoting the new addition to the group. Styl-Plus were really the rave of the moment.

Our #ttt1 comes from the song of the Nigerian singing group of a quartet SYYL- PLUS which is titled "Olufunmi". The song is basically a love song wherein the man professes his love for the girl and promises to stick with her, marry her and live forever with her. He pleads with the girl not to leave him and promises not to love another woman. The chorus is sang in Yoruba language though.

Olufunmi was one of the most requested love songs on all the major Nigerian R&B radio stations between 2004 and 2005. That's how massive the song was those days.

The second also comes from the STYL-PLUS group and it is titled "Call my name". Here, the man eulogizes a lady he saw sitting in a restaurant on a table made for two. Sit back and enjoy their melodious voice

Our third and final song for this week's #ttt also comes from the STYL-PLUS group and it is titled "Iya Basira". Iya Basira was a campus hit as at the time it was released. It talks a man who ate in a restaurant and appears to have been bewitched by the food vendor with some sort of black power. He even forgot to attend his girlfriend's birthday as he was busy ordering many plates of food. This led his friends to invite a policeman to have the lady foodseller arrested. But when the officer came and tasted the food by the food vendor (Iya Basira) he too was captivated and mesmerized by the food. He subsequently asked everybody to leave because the woman's food was too good and she does not have any case to answer. What a funny one really.
